Fundraisers Created For Families Of Saugus High Shooting Victims
After the Saugus High shooting on Thursday, the Santa Clarita community is rallying to support the students and families impacted by that tragic day which has rippled across the nation.
GoFundMe pages have been set up by the families of the two students who were killed, 14-year-old Dominic Blackwell and 15-year-old Gracie Muehlberger.
“This world lost a bright, shining light… personified by a goofy laugh, cheesy smile and a huge, caring heart. He was taken from his family and friends in the most senseless of ways,” reads Dominic’s page posted by his family.
Dominic left behind three brothers who “miss their big brother greatly,” the page reads.
“His parents’ dreams for him will never be realized. Dominic’s family needs this time to pull together and mourn this unexpected loss,” the GoFundMe continues.
The family wishes to express appreciation for all of the love and support of the community in the aftermath of this tragic event, the page said.

Gracie’s fundraiser says the family’s mission is to “find a way to memorialize our baby girl, Gracie Anne Muehlberger.”
“It is with the most unexplainable brokenness that we share our Gracie went to be with Jesus on Thursday morning,” said her family in the GoFundMe page.
The family deeply appreciates the “outpouring of love and support from family, friends, colleagues, our church and the whole Santa Clarita and national communities.”
“Our vivacious, funny, loyal, light of our lives, Cinderella, the daughter we always dreamed to have, fiercely strong and lover of all things fashionable, was our best friend. She is going to be missed more than words will ever be able to express,” the GoFundMe reads.
“We are grieving and navigating this pain moment by moment. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time,” the family said.
